Attending the Coaltrans Asia 2026 agenda, the President Director of PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO), Sandry Pasambuna, spoke in the session titled “Market Intelligence Briefing: Pricing Signals vs. Physical Market Reality”. On that occasion, he stated that Indonesia's coal market possesses strong growth potential and remains a vital component of global energy trade.
"Indonesia's strategic geographical location, supported by the diversity of coal types and qualities, is one of our key advantages in meeting international market demands. This potential must be accompanied by a reliable, transparent supply chain capable of meeting the standards required by the global market. To address this need, SUCOFINDO as an SOE operating in Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) is present with integrated capabilities and services to support quality management and the comprehensive fulfillment of coal standards across the entire supply chain," explained Sandry Pasambuna.
Sandry Pasambuna explained that every coal has different quality, specifications, quantities, and conditions, which can influence the actual value of a cargo. "SUCOFINDO plays a strategic role as an independent party with the capability to provide integrated coal assurance services from upstream to downstream, ranging from quality testing, sampling, supervision of production processes and loading, to verification at the destination port," explained Sandry Pasambuna during his presentation on Pricing Signals vs. Physical Market Reality.
